This a new start to a story so let me know how it is.
Chapter 1
The rain continued to fall making me smell disgusting because I had just gone to the gym. Sweat mixed with rain does not mix. I walked in the door to my house. I search up and down the house calling out or anyone who was home. No one answered. My tummy growled at me to eat something since I hadn’t had supper yet. I rummaged through the cupboards. To my satisfaction there were Oreos in the house. Opening through the fridge to find some milk a note landed just beside my feet. I picked it up and gasped at what was in my hand.
Dear, Emerald
I’m so sorry but we just couldn’t take you in anymore. We are sending you a high school you will sleep in a dorm and will be allowed to spend 100 dollars + grocers’ and girl needs every week.
We are so sorry...
You will be leaving tomorrow for I don’t exactly know where it is but it is in the mountains somewhere. The plane leaves at 9:00 am and you ticket and spending money is on my desk.

I stood there just frozen tears rolling down my cheeks. I heard my phone buzzing and walked over to answer it. “Hello?” I asked my voice cracking half way through.
“Hey!” Jared said.
“H.i...” My voice just gave up and I just started sobbing.
“...Em? Are you crying? I am coming over. Hang on I will be right there.”
After about 5 minutes I heard a car door slam and the front door was opened. The next thing you know Jared came racing in. Kicking his shoes off and they hit the wall with a loud bang.
